Terms of Service
Foundry (working name). Last updated July 18, 2026.
These are the terms for using Foundry. They are written in plain language on purpose. By purchasing a build or using a Foundry app, you agree to them. Questions: richardsonjill93@gmail.com.
What Foundry is
Foundry builds and publishes a working web application from your description, automatically. You describe what you want, we show you a preview, and if you purchase, our system builds your app and puts it live at its own web address.
What you are buying
The build (one-time fee). One working app, built from your idea, published and delivered to you by email. The fee is charged once, at purchase.
Keep Alive (monthly subscription). Ongoing hosting of your app, its data storage, and the ability to request changes in plain English. Your purchase may include an initial included period; after it, the monthly fee applies until you cancel.
Cancelling, and what happens after
You can cancel Keep Alive at any time; billing stops at the end of the paid period. When Keep Alive lapses, your app goes to sleep: it stops being served, but we do not immediately destroy your data. If you return within 60 days, we can wake it. After 60 days we may permanently delete the app and its data. If you want your data before it goes, ask and we will help.
Refunds
If your app fails to build, or what we delivered does not work, tell us and we will fix it or refund the build fee. If you simply change your mind within 7 days of purchase and your app has not seen real use, email us and we will refund the build fee. We are a small company; we would rather refund an unhappy customer than argue.
Your responsibilities
You confirm that your app idea and any content you provide are yours to use and do not infringe anyone's rights. You agree not to use Foundry to build anything illegal, deceptive, harmful, or designed to collect other people's data without their knowledge and consent. We may decline or take down apps that break this rule, with a refund where fair.
Your users' data
If your app collects entries from other people, that data belongs to those people. Our systems are built so each signed-in user can only access their own entries. You agree to use any summaries or insights your app gives you honestly and lawfully.
Honest limits
Foundry builds software automatically. It is genuinely good, and it is not magic. We promise the app we deliver will work as shown in your preview and delivery email. We do not promise it will grow your business, and we will never claim otherwise. The service is provided as is; to the fullest extent the law allows, our total liability to you is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim.
AI transparency
Your app is designed and built by AI systems, with no human in the build path. Text you submit is processed by an AI provider (Anthropic) to generate your app. Where an app of ours reflects observations back to its owner or users, those observations are computed from real data, never invented.
Changes to these terms
If we change these terms in a way that matters, we will post the update here with a new date, and material changes will be announced to paying customers by email before they take effect.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Quebec and the federal laws of Canada applicable there.
